THE JOYS OF TEACHING

“We learn by teaching”
Having done my masters in Business Administration with marketing people always ask me why am I a teacher and not into a 9-7 so called white collar job. Teaching is a passion and it is within you. Few years back when I was in school I refrained from studies but when I got the right teachers they made it so simple for me. I don’t regret that I gave up a handsome salary job because I thought that rewards for being a teacher are far more than a huge pay cheque.

Teaching has a broader perspective it’s not only a few algebra sums or history which one has to teach. Apart from books it’s very important for teacher to have a good bonding with students. As it’s not only teaching that matters but the social and emotional developments.

I have been in teaching field for the past seven years and loving it. I get to learn so much from the young minds. Sometime they teach us something that I am unaware of. It’s no more a student teacher relationship that is till the books. My students share their agonies and I guide them how to get rid of it. Their love and affection has always been a motivating factor to be a teacher. Gone are the days when a teacher is one who sits with a stick to teach the students. In 21 century it is very important to keep their spirits and motivate them to study hard rest depends on destiny.
I have a student who always shares a chocolate with me and says first you eat the chocolate than we will study. Why would a 12 year old kid share a chocolate? He can eat it after or before class, it is the love and the bonding which I share with the little boy. I am blessed with very good students and it’s like a family for me. To bring about a change in one’s life is only possible when you know the person well. I have been a friend, philosopher and a guide for many and that’s what makes me feel proud today. Early morning when small children wait for you, they follow your instructions, they make cards , paintings for you and above all they respect you makes my journey in the teaching field fruitful.

I LOVE  YOU ALL MY DEAR STUDENTS
YOU ALL MEAN A LOT IN MY LIFE.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS !!!

“The best things in life are unexpected - because there were no expectations.”

There's a story of a turtle family who decided to go for a picnic.Turtles are considered to be very slow with their work so it took them around 7 years to arrange their picnic. Finally , on one fine day they left their home. During second year of journey they found a place. It took them six months to clean the place and make arrangements. When they unpacked their juice and sandwiches they found that they had forgotten sugar at home. All the turtles big , small everyone started crying and creating a fuss. The eldest turtle decided to send the youngest and the fastest turtle to go home and get the sugar. The youngest one agreed to go but he had put up a condition : noone will untill he is back and everyone agreed upon it. They waited for five years and then they couldnt resist themselves from food so the eldest turtle took a piece of sandwich and suddenly the youngest turtle popped in from behind and said ,'YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO WAIT UNTILL I GET THE SUGAR'.Now the youngest turtle said he wont go and get the sugar.
Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live up to our expectations. We are so concerned about what others are doing that we don't do anything ourselves.

We often forget what we want from life because we are bound by others expectations. Do you really know what you want to do in future or what you expect from yourself?? Expectations often guide us to success and better future , only if they are not a burden. We had an expectation that Sachin Tendulkar will make a century in World Cup FInal 2011 but he didnt because his aim was the team should win the cup and not his century.

Expectations become burden and people start procrastinating things because some how they are not willing to achieve it.Welcome to the world where each one is expecting something from the other. We are lost in viscous circle of expectation when you are a child ur parents want you to get full marks , when you are in your high school they wish you become a doctor or an engineer , when in your college time you fall in love and now your better half whose expectations should be your top most priority , after studies you end up taking a job and where every day you are given a target and if not fulfilled you will be kicked out , when you marry you have your companion as well as kids and then you also start expecting from them.
There are people who are afraid of expectations and they expect very less, so that when they get more then expected they feel its a bonus. But when you start over expecting and you dont, you get frustrated and lose hope.

“High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.”

There are people who are afraid of expectations and they expect very less, so that when they get more then expected they feel its a bonus. But when you start over expecting and you dont, you get frustrated and loose hope. When you think big you will work big same goes with your expectations. When you raise your expectations you will definitely look forward for achieving it.When you expect only the very best you will get only the very best. What you earn right now is what you expect to earn. The amount of free time you have right now is what you expect to have as free time. The relationships you have are what you expect it to be. When you expect the best it's not like expecting something good or something similar, but it is the best and only the best. You have to stop settling for less than you can be or have.

“I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.”

FOLLOW YOUR PASSION

Imagine a situation in which legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar would have been singing and playing cricket respectively. Would they achieve the level of fame which they have achieved presently. From time to time individuals come across their definite and identified passion which they want to achieve in life , without which they are incomplete.
A  gardener would efficiently do gardening but if he is given a blank canvas would  he paint like M.F Hussain  or Pablo Picasso , because its not his forte. The same goes with all the musicians, dancers, athletes , magicians, designers etc that they aren’t following the rat-race instead they are doing what they like. Even if you cant mint money fast doing what you like or doing something that makes you feel content then forgo that lucrative job offers and follow your heart. Today there are many people who have willingness to do something out of the box but still they are skeptical with what they intend to do and do something which they are not liking. It is very obvious that from a comfort path you are going to do something that might have obstacles but if you are determined enough then you will achieve pinnacle. Though it has the risk factor in it but then your diligence will make the work challenging for you and somehow you will do it.
But somehow many of us don’t follow this. This is because of the stress given to educational qualifications and degrees are given more importance rather than the hidden talents in an Individual. Many of students take up their career option as what their parents dream for them and not what they like .On an average a child belonging  to the age group 11-13 yrs spends around 7 hrs in school, two hours with his or hers algebra tutor, one hour on improvising  his vocabulary and writing skills and another 2 hours in social sciences and general knowledge sessions , apart from this he is loaded with tons of home assignments which take away around 2-3 hours of juvenile happiness where does the child have anytime to recognize his or her passion: forget pursuing it. The same gets transformed when he is in his boards or undergrads ,haunts him and then he finds himself after few years doing a job with handsome salary but still he is not satisfied.
Inspired from Three-idots movie character named Frahan Quereshi- renowned actor R.Madhvan completed his engineering to pursue his father’s dream. He wanted to do wild-life photography from a renowned Brazilian photographer Andre-Istavan. He gave preference to his fathers dream over his owns. On  the day zero of placement , he gathered enough guts to put forth his heart in front of  his father. He confronted and his proposal was affirmatively accepted by his parents.
Pursue excellence, and  success will follow, pants down.
Chetan Bhagat , iit-delhi and iim-ahmedabad alumnus , who quit his career of international investment banking job for his passion towards writing. When he wrote his first book he had visited many publishers but none supported him except the rupa publishers, as others couldn’t find that X-factor in the book which Chetan felt.He had a hard time before he got his first book published but soon his book became best-seller .He is now author of four best sellers and he is also an open-end columnist with renowned newspapers.

One can choose career of his choice can even switch fields. People in initially stage will not encourage this but slowly the trend has  started in India as well.I took up  commerce in 12 grade got good result but still wanted to opt for fashion designing and some how couldn't crack NIFT , ended up taking NIFD.  In those three years I realised that just being good in drawing or having interest in designing shouldnt be the parameters for which I opted the course. Somehow it was not my cup of tea to work with tailors and draftsmen .I took an entrance and landed up with PGDM-marketing .Meanwhile doing Mba I recognized my passion for doing Mba and I didn’t opt for a lucrative white collar job. In hearts of hearts I had a predilection for teaching over a white collar job. There where obstacles in terms of people and situations who tried to derail me from my path.
Even in small towns or cities in this country there are not millions but hundreds of people who are toiling day and night to pursue their passion and talent at nice level encountering hurdles at every stage in their career yet as in story of King Solomon  the spider never gave up making its web, these people are stead fast on their paths :with a strong belief in their sole and confidence in their diligence to reach the apex however long it might take.

If you want to be happy for a day, go on a picnic.
If you want to be happy for a week, go on a vacation
If you want to go happy for a month, get married
If you want to be happy for a year, inherit wealth
If you want to be happy for a lifetime, do the work that you love.

My Life by Donuts!!!!!!!!

My life is a vicious circle like donut which has many  people, duties and responsibilities. My emotions melt like the chocolate of the donuts during confrontational situations. For me, life is like a donut, delight it before it ends.It is as soft as a donut it cant withstand anxiety. It is colorful and has flavors of bliss and dejection.Life is expensive so it has to be lived in a judicious manner so that it doesn't hamper us in near future. It is something that can be relished if there is balance of everything. I can have toppings of gestures on my face which will make me look as attractive as a donut. My life is tasty, I like to taste all those sweet and sour people who come in my life .This taste of life makes me realize what this vicious circle all about. When you monitor life somehow it resembles donuts , feel it ,live it and enjoy it , till the last bite.In life we have many options its the way you perceive and the way you live it .My life is cheesy and spicy full of updates and gossips , just as a pizza donut.Life is austere like a simple donut its upon you how you embellish it.

Milestones between U n Me

Challenging and Tough are the synonyms to a long - distance relationship. But its not impossible.Majority of the relations break-up due to the long distance between you and me. Though it is said Love is blind but its not always. In a long- distance relationship , people tend to be more possessive for each other because they dont know when they will meet each other. You always nag for small things in such relationships though you say you trust him, but deep down the heart you always the fear of  losing him. When you see couples around you feel depressed as you would like him or her to be there with you. Relationships are hard to maintain but when it comes to long-distance it is hardest, the main barrier between the couple is communication. It becomes monotonous to talk everyday on phone or to chat. Sometimes when you want to say something you cant, sometimes when you want him or her you cant, there are many compromises which are to be made in a long distance relation. Its not everyones cup of tea ,you have to be patient enough to understand him or her.All you can do is to plan out properly and put in your extra efforts. Its very good to be in such kind of relations as in a way you are free but still  theres someone  at the other end for you. Most of the people face problem of giving space to each-other , they dont understand that in a long distance relation  they are already given space. This is because sometimes it becomes difficult for you to trust the person at the other end. When you want  that person to hear you at the very moment but he's not available  that brings a robust strain of frustration. Those are the worst days of ones life when you feel lonely. It is testifying time of your love and it strengthens the love between two.In such a relationship the more you talk the more you know each other. It is the time when you want the smallest information about each other, though it may annoy you as you might feel your space is being invaded. Those small fights in relationship make  love stronger, fights are actually essence of love.Phone calls become dull and you want to meet each other but due to other important priorities in life, some how you cant meet each other. This is what  is a long distance relationship all about.
Fights, hardship, distance, communication barrier, understanding but above all is the LOVE that keeps you together.

Aimless ship without a rudder

A person without a goal is same as "Aimless ship without a rudder".A goal is an objective or  aim which everyone of us have in life. It directs us and helps us to achieve something in life.Path for attainment of goal is complex but it depends how much effort you put in. More over it depends how intense you think about your goal , if you have urge to achieve it then somewhere in your subconscious mind that you have to work hard for something.  Life is a game but its not a video game , you need to think about each and every decision cautiously.
Success , Goal , Fame tempts one and all but one should have self-control and stable mind. Its a battle and you have to be ready for endurance and grit, at times when you are half-way home you have to  leave it. It depends on what sort of attitude you have towards your goal. Its very clear nothing is difficult and nothing is easy , its on you how you make it possible. One should dream high and sky should be the limit , this will broaden your goal. People get confused while deciding what  should be the ultimate goal?? Its very important for you to know your goal.
"Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal." -- Elbert Hubbard

There are people who get afraid of what they what in life but reality is that they neither predefine their goals nor they put in their efforts. One should try try till he succeed no matter day or night. While you are striving hard for your goal dont ever think about failure, just give your best shot then its destiny that plays the final game.

P.S: If you dont have a goal in life start finding one before its too late.

All the Best !!!

When you are out of Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Some stones  in life always remain unturned while others turn unexpectedly.Similar instances insignificantly happen in our day to day life, but these also make their appearances once in a blue moon.Yes, luck is something that operates for or against an individual. Some people are so lucky that they get whatever they want easily, but there are people who work hard and  fail to get what they want at time.

This Sunday evening i had pre-planned with my dad for Bumper Housie at Gymkhana club for which I was ecstatic about  . I somehow knew that I am the kind of a person with whom luck doesn't reside with  most of  the times ; one who doesnt get anything easily. But this time I thought of giving a shot. The game started , the atmosphere comprised of tension ,anxiety and competition. I was astonished , when I saw people going  hysterical ;buying more than one ticket with a hope to take something back home.I was anxious , as I aimed to win a small prize though not the bumper full-house to be modest. Those 3 hours were full of mixed feelings : hope , worry and desperation  for getting something.Unfortunately my hopes were reduced to nothing because even at the end of three hours I landed up with nothing. On the other the person who won the main prize was the one who had won at not only one place but at many places viz . a trip to Bangkok or an elegant car.Somehow, it felt that all the luck that I had asked for in my pocket seemed to vanish into someone else's.

Seems the lady luck never seems to be impressed with . Hope sometime down the lane the lady would get least be on my side. Seems when a person is out of luck, most of the times its a state of despair . But what matters at the end of the day is that you dont let the courage and the confidence let out of your pocket even if the lady luck passes out. It is these small but important keys of life that surpass all odds including those of Lady Luck or fortune .
